Faith! That mysterious, compelling force that energizes our relationship with God. Jesus wants us to demonstrate faith and used two strikingly opposite ideas to illustrate its power. Mustard seeds are very small while mountains are large and imposing, yet Jesus taught that faith like a mustard seed can move mountains (Mat 17:20).
Invest in Faith: Sow & Grow
Was Jesus saying that all you’ll ever need is a small amount of faith? Yes and no. Jesus explained that when a small mustard seed is sown, it grows up to become a tree with great
branches (Luke 13:18 & 19). Jesus’ lesson is clear: invest in faith! Plant it and cultivate it so that it can grow into a powerful, energizing, mountain-moving force in your life.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
But how does one invest in faith? The Bible teaches that faith comes by hearing and embracing God’s word (Romans 10:17). The Bible tells us that without faith we cannot please God, but if we believe that God exists and that He'll reward us when we seek him, then He will accept us (Hebrews 11:6).

Dear Father, Thank you for your son, Jesus and the lessons he taught. I want to follow Jesus and I want a wonderful relationship with you. Thank you for giving us the Bible to help us find your truth. Help me to develop the discipline to read your Word and to reflect on it. Guide me as I study it, help me to embrace its truth and cause my faith to grow. Amen
